Three weeks ago I purchased my first B7 RS4. It's a 2007 Imola Yellow with 31,000 miles.
My previous vehicles were a 2001 Honda S2000, a 2002 Merc CLK 55 AMG, and a B5 Audi S4. I loved the Honda but longed for a V8. Made the switch to the Merc. What a piece of garbage. The CD player and drivers seat controls broke within the first year of ownership. Then the exhaust needed to be replaced. Not to mention it handled like a tank. And the steering wheel was telescopic only. The steering wheel sat up so high it felt like I was driving a school bus. But it's my fault for buying it.
I feel in love with the S4 the moment I sat in the cabin. The only thing I disliked about the S4 was the BOSE radio. Its terrible. The sound is muffled and bland.
I wanted an RS4 but could not find one that was less the 400 miles from my home. After waiting for two years I found the car I wanted. Iwas able to find an RS4 without NAV, no compass or rear heated seats, and a stock radio (NO BLOSE). The stock radio sounds fantastic and I do not need or want NAV. Beleive it or not buying the car without the premuium package saved me $5000. Love this car

Perfect car for the rain and snow you endure in Northern USA - where exactly?
Saving $5k is worth not having the Sat-Nav for.
