I got an SP70 for 91mph on the M20 a couple of weeks ago.
I think that like me you just have to take it on the chin.
Being that your speed was only marginally over the limit you might get the offer to take a speed awareness course (costs about £70 I think) but the good bit is they do not give you the dreaded 3 points on your licence.
I would bite their hand off if I was offered this, but I think my speed was too excessive.
I wish you luck.

my points position isn't precarious but I want to limit damage. Basically I only passed my test in july 09 so if I get 6 points before july 11 I lose my license, hence it puts me on the edge of the abyss, so if I can get out of it I'll want to (just in case).
for 37 in a 30 do you think they'll offer me zero points and a speed awareness course?

How the hell do you afford the insurance on an RS6 if you only passed a year ago? Most insurance companies i know wont let a new driver own a performance car until they have done a couple of years behind the wheel / passed some sort of performance car test. This speeding ticket aint gonna help with your driving experience either. And i know for a fact that you will only get on a Driver Awareness Course if the speed was within 20% of the limit and they run them within a certain distance of your area. You are out by 1 mph by my reckoning. I dont wanna piss on your fire but getting your hopes up on a DAC isnt gonna help im affraid. And also, if they were gonna offer you the opportunity of a course then they'd send the invite at the same time as the ticket (ive been there).
If i were you, and you are 100% sure that your car was off the raod (and you can prove it) then i'd try to get it overturned. Ask them for a photo of the car and if possible a photo of the driver. Then see what happens. Good luck.

Check out this case regarding the 14 days notice period required by S1(c)RTA 1988. It provides helpful background info and could be of use.

forwarned
here is a tip that has worked for a friend, a pal of mine received a speeding ticket for 39 in a 30 zone he runs a container storage yard,on the ticket it asks if he was the driver if not then to name the driver at the time, now he replied that as it was 10 days ago that the speeding offence took place and he and other work colleges have access to the vehicle then he has no way of knowing who was driving at the time.the reply he got of the constabulary was that if in future he didn't keep a driving record on his vehicles he would be fined. now I'm not saying that this is a get off free card as if your mum, dad, wife, brother, aunty, are all insured (third party)can drive your car then who was driving it 10 -12 days ago i know i wouldn't remember (unless off course they have your pik or stop you physically)
