The track was so wet it didn't really have an effect on brakes and tyres. The Alpine passes were the real test, my discs were blue by the time we came back down Stelvio and KR's hire car brakes were smoking! pad125 ceramics weren't fazed, not sure about mac4RS.
Tyre wear, I had 4mm all round when I left and after 1800+ miles have 3.5mm all round.

To sum up my experience with Audi Assist (RAC France) During the entire trip away I kept been told that the dealership was to busy and my car was still awaiting diagnosis, even asked if the car could be transfered to another Audi dealer.
I was told the car was not ready by our return date to the UK, so returned to the UK with the help of fellow EuroTour members (Thank you Again).
On Saturday morning spoke with Audi UK Customer Services, and within an hour I was told that my car would be diagnosed Monday, at that point I would have the choice of repat Car back to the UK or have it fixed in Belgium.
At 6.10 pm I had a call from RAC France stating my car had been repaired and required picking up, or a storage charge would be applyed. Also I would have to pay for the repair even though I have a warranty.
Monday morning spoke with Audi UK CS stating what had happened, RAC france even on Saturday morning told them my car was not fixed. Also due to it been fixed the option of Repat to the UK had been taken away, I would have to pick it up. I was told the the procedure for the warranty is that I have to outlay the money and claim it back through my local Audi Centre in the UK (I had to take them the invoice).
So Tuesday set off to Brussels to pick up my car, when I got to the dealership, (spoke really good english) I asked when the car was fixed by, the reply Friday Morning - which means I could have picked it prior to returning the UK first time. Which really chafes on me even now.
At present the Hull Audi are trying to submit the warranty claim, but for the job listed the amount of time on the Audi system does not corrospond the amount that I have been charged. So it is back with Audi Customer services chasing the Beligum Audi dealer with regard to how come it was so expensive.
Also this weekend I have to start putting together the receipts and claim form for the travel expenses I incured whilst travelling to pick up my car from Beligum.
So lessons learnt - don't believe what you are told on the telephone if you breakdown abroad
- Ring the dealer where your car is to ask them for a update.
Overall I am more than happy I continued on with the trip and met some great people, I will post some pictures up once I get away from work.

I don't believe my Astra hire car slowed the trip down much and it was fun chasing you all down. P.S if anyone would like to post pics of the RS246 Support Vehicle , when it was dropped off in Calais please do.

Yes the car was serviced the week prior to the trip, basically from the invoice / when I spoke to the Audi dealer in Belgium.
The drive between the Engine and power steering pump had snapped (Its not a belt either) explained to me for like a splined drive shaft. Thats why we could hear a mechanical noise whilst the engine was on tick over, as the snapped ends must just have been touching.
