I got mine from ebay. That's probably your best bet:

Let me know if you want an installation guide for the RNS-D.
I was looking at these TMC tuners on ebay and I have noticed there is a:

4B1 919 894 B

or

4B1 919 894 A

Do you know what the A or B prefix means? Will either work with RNS-D?

the 'A' version was dropped on the 1/03/2002, replaced by the 'B' version. I don't *think* there are any differences, but the correct one for the RS6 is the B. There is a version with no suffix letter. In theory they should all work.

What you must avoid is the 4B0 versions. These don't have CANbus.

Just remembered, you're in a B5. Not sure they use CANbus for the DIS.

I just looked for the RS4 B5. It's the same part number. The part with no suffix is the RHD version. The only difference is the bracket, the actual module is the same. Go for the B

I have just been quoted 39€ to send the TMC box and cord down to Sydney Australia.

Surely postage can't be that much to send such a small item. Does anyone know any cheaper options or if 39€ is an error?

I know similar items from the UK would be maybe 12 GBP.

Where's it coming from? What cord?

From Germany, cord is the TMC cables which would not add much weight or bulk.

Dunno. Australia is a long way. There are probably minimum weights that apply. From the UK a tracked parcel of 300g would cost £32 to send for 6 day delivery, so 39 euros sounds about right. 28 quid for 42 day delivery

You could ask him to send it Deutsch Post non-tracked, but he may not want to. Especially if you don't have an attractive ebay profile.

Yeah, Germans like using DHL. They're very good, and that's a good price DHL to Oz.
