Warranty Direct renewal???

Post by eyeball » Wed May 12, 2010 1:42 am

Sorry all.... I have posted this before but I cant find the link to update on....
But here goes... I called WD today to ask if I they had sent out the renewel form to me yet and there reply was no as we wont renew your policy as the car is almost 10years old and they only cover upto 10 years! . What really bothered me was they didnt even bother to let me know that this was the case and just stopped my cover...but thinking about it, my WD ran out mid last month and my car is a march 2001 so really there's almost another year that I could do if 10 years is the limit???
Has anyone else got to this point yet...does this mean our day's are numbered in the Warranty scheme of things???
Just for reference...I made one claim for a themostat and that was it. :(

Hi Phil, I've been away for a few days so not had chance to catch up yet. I'll give them a ring tomorrow all being well. I trust you and your family are well.

Interesting thread.....

We have 124 k miles on ours and can't find any warranty cover yet!!

Cabrio has a Skoda dealer warranty cover since Ingrams still licences to service Audis but not sell them as a dealer but can source you a car...

Maybe worth asking when the cab cover expires next month what they would cover the RS as well.

I've just renewed mine with WD, no issues but the price has gone up to £750 from £500 i paid last year. They've been ok with me, a little slow paying out after my turbo claim but can't really complain, they've been good to be honest. They did say they no long cover RS4's but as mine should be trouble free now (touch wood) that may be why they've covered me again.
