An expensive first

Post by Daveperc » Mon May 10, 2010 7:06 pm

Filled up today at end of long journey. Let the pump run till full, and then nearly fell over when I glanced at the pump £100.04 for a tank of petrol!

Still, I suppose £100 for three to four hours of fun isn't that bad

Squeezed 98 quid in the other day, can't think of anything else better to spend it on!

How do I get hold of a V-power card?

You have to get a Shell Drivers Club card and buy V-Power like its going out of fashion. After 3 months (and if you bought enough) they'll send you a V-Power card and you'll get double points. I had £12 off last time i got my vouchers.

I'd never use Teso's own in my car, no matter how much you told me it was, 'absolutely fine'. There's just something about it that screams 'DANGER' and 'YOUR WARRANTY DOESNT COVER THIS MR CAIN'.

Ha ha.. for about a year, i frequently filled 2 or three times a week when I had my 6 at around £200 to £250 a week... and a good amount of that was private mileage. I think work would put bamboo shoots under my finger nails if I was now putting in £300+ a week.

And green energy were the muppets who got the silicon in the supermarket petrol and damaged so many cars. I'll stick with decent branded petrol thanks.
