Bye Bye..
Bye Bye..
After various problems with both the RS4 and the wifes S3, I say good bye to my 07 Missano RS4 Avant (46K).
The main reason for the sale is the lack of service from the 2 Stealers I have had contact with and the cost of extending the warrenty..
I have written to Mr Hicks highlighting my experience, I hope you guys reap the benefits, but not sure anything will change.
I have just agreed the deal on the purchase of a Red 2007, 997 Carrera S with GT3 kit and all the trimmings......the porsche service was second to none during the purchase.
I would like to say, whoever buys my 07 Avant is getting a good car (YR07 FOP), with Alpine roof mounted DVD and all the mashings... The only issue I had was AUDI!!
Kind regards to all

Seems to me that you didnt know how to handle your warranty claim.
There is no way that I would be paying 3K+ to anyboay for a bew head. Especially when I listed a link to a complete engine for about a grand.
You should have got something from audi, you should not have paid a diagnostic charge and you would definatley have recieved some goodwill if not payment in full.
To sell both cars as a result of driver error is a bit over the top isnt it? Also, the comment about removing audi from the company car list is just selfish, what if somebody actually wanted an audi, lets say a4/a6 and couldnt because you threw your toys out the pram????

I hope just you don't have any problems, but then you obviously have time to spend endless time arguing with stealers.
Haven't thrown my teddy's out, when you have a Manufacturers warrenty, you believe you are covered, when actually you are in the hands
of the stealer.
How may people on this forum pitch up to the stealer with a problem and they say we cannot find a fault. Basically they plug it in to the
computer and hope it tells all. What happened to old fationed competence..

every dealer I've encountered is the 'best thing since sliced bread' right up until you sign the papers, the deal is done, and you need something...
I've only had one bad experience with ANY dealer in 30 years...and I sued and won...
in the cases I was denied, they were right in doing so...although I still didn't like it, I had to be honest with at least myself...
when I was owed, they complied...took some persuading at times, but it's all part of the game...

good luck with the porsche, maybe you have found a good dealer and the audi one wasnt so good for you. sounds nice in red with GT3 kit
audi recently have done me proud so am really pleased with them! My brother had a couple of porsches inc a new 911 turbo in 2001 from Porsche near cambridge and said they started to suck when things went wrong on the car so maybe avoid the cambridge porsche network!

That would mean a tech looking at the car which is now all time chargeable, there is not time allowed for speculate to accumulate.RABC wrote:How may people on this forum pitch up to the stealer with a problem and they say we cannot find a fault. Sorry to see you leaving the RS4 fold. My dealer whilst good on a number of things still have their faults, hence why I didn't go for extended warranty and have two good independents nearby who I can rely on doing a good job having used them previously on former Audi's in my possession. Warranty isn't a guarantee and even on a new car I usually ask what specifically the warranty covers and everything that is not stated assume I'll have to pay if it goes wrong.
They give you the old fashioned competence and time to assess FOC. Good luck with the Porsche.
As with all dealers, I expect poor service and clueless staff, I do as much research myself, and dum it down for them, then when they do know what I'm talking about, and give me good service, its a pleasant surprise. My car needs servicing, and I have a drivers seat squeak which wasn't there until they fixed the bolster inflation problem... whats the betting they still try to charge me to find whats squeaking... i think not!

I have the same issue with the seat and after the bolster change, works perfect but that annoying squeak!
They were nice to ask me to bring it in for a day to sort it out.
Wonder why is it? Any idea?
Cheers
