Interior Spec

Post by chrisskelton » Tue Jan 06, 2004 12:19 pm

I have placed an order with my local Audi dealer for an RS4, they were reluctant to take an order because the car has not been announced, but after discussing it my order has been placed on the system.

The one area I am unsure about is the interior spec of top line Audis, I currently drive an M3 and have grown accustomed to satnav, tv and bluetooth phone. When I drove an RS6 recently (too big, too heavy and a bit lifeless) the sat nav screen was tiny and bluetooth was not possible, will things be different on an RS4 ?

Is the suspension on an RS4 as hard as the RS6? my M3 felt like a limo afterwards.

When are we likely to see the first cars being built, the dealer yesterday said he could not see it before 2006 , because the current A4 is due for replacement in 2007.

It sounds like there should be a track option for the car eg bucket seats, short shift, brembo brakes, harder supention. for all those track junkies

Just put my letter of intent into the dealership and have been informed I am at the top of the list for the group. However, they cannot put me on the AUDI UK system because no codes exist for the car as it is not in production or release yet. This makes sense to me - just wondered if you are actually on the Audi System or just on the dealers books - would be interested to know. If you are then I will do some more chest poking at the dealer.

As for the spec I drive an M3 and an S4 Avant and I am shocked that Audi have not got their poo in a sock with reference to a user-friendly Sat-Nav, Bluetooth, etc.. Hopefully the new RS4 will bring Audi into the 21st Century. (Saying that BMW could take a leaf out of Porsches Books for user friendly SatNav & Phone integration.)

Hi,

I also placed a pre-order for the next RS4 at my dealership in Switzerland. I am on the dealer book only. As you said there is no ID code for this cas yet therefore they can't do more. However as soon as the launch will happen we will be first served :FIREdevil:
