Solar roof

Post by mc3744 » Sat Apr 10, 2010 10:49 am

How do I get the ventilation with the solar roof to work?
Clima setting is already on.
Is there something else I have to do?

Thanks

Ventilation with the solar roof?

The solar roof powers the climate control at a default setting when the car engine is switched off but the energy from it is not enough to power the condenser so in effect it blows air around the cabin rather than having stagnant air with latent heat. Certainly wasn't in my S4 when I had a solar roof and I think it is the same one on the C6.

May not sound like much but it does make a huge difference.

Yep, I meant blowing air around by ventilation ;)
As a matter of fact the solar roof "could" be enough for the conditioning, it is on my wife's Prius.

How do I know if it is working? Does it depend on the temperature I leave the clima system on?

jez if you get the manual in Italian let me know. I'll be happy to help :)

Btw, I read the entire manual, but I cannot remember anything else beside setting it on on, which I did.
