RS2 Mirrors

This may sound ridiculous, but do the door mirrors fold inwards? Where I live there are some very narrow roads and if a vehicle is passing in the opposite direction you normally have to pull your mirrors in on the driver's side at least, unless you want it forcibly done by the other vehicle. I tried to give the drivers side one a tug but either it's very stiff or is not meant to move at all. I just don't know which. Also is it possible to remove the mirrors by undoing the allen key bolt and then the disconnecting the electrics. There is some bubbling on the mirror body and I'd like to get that sorted.

yes they do . Inwards and upwards. Mirror housing comes off as you have said. If its bubbling as you have said best to take them of and apart for the painting to be done properly.There is a post on S2foum.
