New RS6

Post by martian » Sat Jan 03, 2004 4:05 pm

There's been a lot of discussion on here re the new RS4 so I thought I'd share the following about the new A6/S6/RS6;
A6- due this summer and 2005 for Avant. 2005 will also see the Lambo Gallardo V10 5-litre engine in the A6

S6- no more
RS6-due 2006, 500 BHP, V10 twin turbo.

yay ! However it almost seems the RS is no longer a exclusive car though.

Maybe its about time we had a hard nose RSR ? My RS4 is nice, but it should have been more OEM track ready as standard in my mind.

OEM track ready? It's a 1500kg estate car - hardly the most likely candidate for track work

Next RS6 is miles off.. and yes.. Audi seem to see their RS brand more like BMW's M brand, rather than the off shoot the origional RS4 (and RS2) was...

more money to be made I suppose

How much more grille is there on this new shape then?
It's just the middle part of the bumper is more recessed

right now it is,but it'l be removed to make a big ass hole in the front like the rosemeyer concept and the old auto union racers for the rs3.
