Car colours

Does anyone have a list of the factory option colours for the S2? Mine is 'Cricket Green Pearl', which I am told is unique for the avant [img]images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img] (ie a one off!!). I have seen one S2 Coupe for sale in the same colour but it was in Germany on www.mobile.de a few months ago.

Apparently it was a colour used for other Audis at the time but does anyone have any more info regarding the S2 specifically?

Has all the UK Audi S2 brochures from 90 to 95.

I thought you could also specify your own colour - I've seen a very light aqua colour - almost white - not very nice

Do you know if the factory painted the colour of your choice or was this lurid aqua colour you saw the result of some paintshop/coachbuilders efforts.

Cricket Green Pearl is not in any of the S2 brochures [img]images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img].

I thought it looked like it was standard - the black plastic around the bottom of the car was still all black - If I got a bodyshop to respray an audi I would have got them to do something with that.

When I sold my last audi I had the brochure printed out in the folder of receipts and info for the car - the buyer was really impressed.

I'm struggling with other good links.

Where's there a picture of your green car so I can have a look?

Go to the Milltek site and look under S2 6 speed exhaust system. I had the first one done for the 6 speed so it is a piccy of my car's arse-end.

I have so many photos where the colour is completely different so the only way to see the 'real' colour is in the flesh. The Milltek photo is a much more 'minty' than it really is. If you look at the flourescent-lit photos from the 'first rs246 meet in High Wycombe' my car is at the end of the car park and looks much darker in colour.

I need to take some 'realistic' photos and upload them but this is so dependant on the weather.

Lee, Cricket Green was an option colour in the later years (MY 94 on) It was part of the 'lifestyle' colour range (as was my S2 Coupe in Kingfisher Blue).

There is a 16V Coupe in Cricket Green local to me and I have seen one S2 coupe in Cricket Green come up for sale on Autotrader a couple of times over the years.

There was a lifestyle brochure produced for MY94 IIRC (rare as rocking horse preverbial) and that covered the coupe, convertible and initial A4s. So you will not find mention of the lifestyle colours inside any S2 brochures, to my knowledge.

I was told some time ago that there was no other recorded RHD S2 Avant in Cricket Green in the UK. I wonder how I could find out if this is true.
