HELP - Battery !

Post by Prawn » Thu Jan 01, 2004 2:32 pm

Should my S4 battery be completly dry ?
Car would not start this morning as battery flat.
Taken it off to charge and it is completly dry inside, I
assume it should be filled with distilled water ?

I thought it needed distilled water top ups. The acid should still be there. However if all cells are dry than you might have a crack somewhwere

I'm pretty sure batterys these days arent meant to need any maintanence.. it may be worth splashing the cash on a new one to save any potential starting problems when it really counts etc

Just had a new one on my last service. IIRC it was £77 + VAT
