The Famous Red RS2 still seems up for sale, mileage at 32k, price £32k
I remember talking about this car over a year ago now, any one know why it has not been sold, obviously price, however im sure this was up for £24k back then!
Has anybody viewed this car?

I think Alwyn may have seen it (he and Tom mentioned it last time I saw them).

Can you remember what was said? TBH I love that colour on that RS2, very unique as it the only Red RS2 I have seen.

Very overpriced comes to mind, I'd have a good inspection done because the conversation involved lower mileage cars being a bit fussy (but you never know, heated garage etc).
I know the brakes prefer to be used as they can get a bit sticky.
There was a "worn" one in that colour for sale in Falmouth some time back, it was a lot cheaper (under 10k) but it needed work apparently, and a bad 2 could swallow a bit of dosh.
I've seen a couple of red ones for sale over the last 18 months, so they do pop up, never seen one in the metal though, I should imagine quite nice.
Good hunting

Amongst a list of problems, put it this way, the only one in Falmouth I'm sure.
If you ever want a go in my one you're more than welcome, but I warn you I had one ride in one and I traded my RS4.
I must write a personal comparison thingy one day to explain myself.
Cheers

The comparision between the RS4 (B5) and the RS2 is one I was faced with. My RS2 was specially built for me and in a similar fashion I ordered a special build RS4. I went on all the RS4 customer days and drove the demo cars quite extensively. When push came to shove though I could not trade my RS2 for the new RS4 when it arrived. The main difference between the two I would put down as character - the RS2 is very Jekyll and Hyde - keep the revs below 3K and most people who are passengers just think the car is a normal Audi Avant. Put the revs above 3k and let the car off its leash and it flies.

The only one I saw had belonged to a Dr Piech , the car had 380ps (according to the person who gave me a ride in it) and the big Red Porsche TT brakes.sonny wrote:.. TBH I love that colour on that RS2, very unique as it the only Red RS2 I have seen.
+ the 18" split rims. Really looked nice in that combination.
