I'm in the process of setting up my new PC, but will the RS246 site still recognise me or do I have to re-enter my details and the post count will be zero.

It won't recognise you unless you've exported your cookies, but your post count will not change, as this is held on the rs246.com server. You did back up all your bookmarked internet pages, e-mail messages, e-mail accounts, etc.. didn't you ?

If you use Internet Explorer, go to File -> Import & Export.
There's a wizard to export (and import later) both your cookies and favorites.
