S4 driver's manual

Post by JamesB » Sun Dec 28, 2003 3:11 pm

Does anyone know if the new S4 is supposed to come with its own driver's manual? Mine came provided with the standard A4 manual which doesn't contain a huge amount of S4 specific info.

The dealer has so far been reticent in replying to me on the subject so I wondered if anyone here could give me an answer?

Cheers
James

Hi

Yes the S4 does come with its own drivers manual. My Manual refers to the S4 and S4 alone. It has loads of stuff in there.

I am assuming you are reffering to the new S4 V8 model and not the bi-turbo?

The very same. I will get back on the case this week. Thanks a lot for your help.

Are you enjoying the S4 experience? What did you have before?

Hi Mate

I had a MTM S3 before (I adored it!!) but it just had to go as I was offered such a good trade in price against the S4. The S4 is an ex demo but only had 2200 miles on the clock.

Great car but since I live in Guernsey I am only getting about 13.5mpg

Thinking of putting Milltek's on it to release that V8 roar!

Still, despite its thirst, you must get a lot back in terms of rarity value. I can't imagine there are hundreds of S4s on Guernsey.

And once you've got the Milteks, you'll be able to hear it on the other side of the island.

Yeah, there is only about 6 or so S4's over here, all standard. Mine is the only red one, looks the dogs!!

Just dont want it to sound droney or boomy. I want quiet ish but with the V8 roar, standard OEM exhausts are too restrictive, makes it sound like a V6!!

I know what you mean. Sometimes you have to drive with the window open to hear the engine note. And that's no fun in this weather.

I don't think the Milteks will sound too boomy but I guess it depends what you're used to. Around where I live, there are quite a lot of Saxo/Nova boys, if you catch my drift.

Good point about the rarity value of the S4.

I've seen only 4 in the last 3/4 months now
