Which Oil to use ?
Which Oil to use ?
Hi All,
My S4 is due for a service and Audi are offering me two types of Oil that I can use for servicing.
Castrol GTX 5w30 = £180 roughly
Long life Quantum 5w30 = £33.21 roughly
there is a huge difference in the oil prices and the parts department were suggesting that apart from the brand name differences, the oils are effectively the same.
Any advise on what oil I should choose please ?
thanks RAza

Go to this place and buy the oil you want and supply it yourself.

For 10 litres of the EDGE (not GTX, they're telling porkies) you'll pay around £80 delivered to your door.

i think 8 litres is enough for the service, but with the deal at Nielsen you buy a 4l and get a 1l free effectively, which means you can kep the 1l in the boot for those away-from-home top ups.
2 packs (hence 10 litres) and you've got some spare.

Also try opieoils. They have a greater range of products. Sign up as a member and get a discount. They are also offering free delivery if ordered before Sunday, 21st.
8L definitely not enough for just a service. Get 10L this will cover the service and leave about 0.5L for when you will have to top up. The S4 does like to drink its fluids.
