Most cars depreciate, but special cars depreciate less. Lightweight, limited edition race history cars depreciate even less and many appreciate in money & some also in real terms.

We have also been blessed with low interest rates and low inflation and curtailed production, so many highly desirable cars have better retained their values. But that sitaution is a one off.

The RS4 is an emotive car yet practical and reliable, and a great Brand. And production has discontinued with no replacement for those who wish to update.

Elementary, my dear Jonathan. Not half full or empty though my glass of wine rapidly empties.

I don't think Jonathan was referring to you - I am sure your glass is always full. You did well to share the experience with us, as I have mentioned above. :beerchug:

His comment was aimed at me, I think.

Can't believe B7s are having oil cooler pipe issues just like the B5 RS4 but after only 4 years?!
Those of you without corrosion get the grease on those joints now!

Sensible advice mate, could have saved me a small fortune if the garage i bought it from or the former owner had done it.

Will have to get some liquid grease on mine. This shows how important good advice is from someone who has suffered from a minor problem that became expensive for the sake of a little time. Hope you get to enjoy your car Mac. nothing takes the shine off a new purchase than irritating expensive problems that should have been sorted prior to delivery

Well car is coming back today, total bill is wait for it: £1816.19p.

OPil cooler and oil pipes were the main problem and most expensive, garge guy said there is no way the garage would have not known as the leak(oil) should have been picked up as well as the radiator.

The other stuff(minor) was my own fault for not checking it 100% at the garage, ie parking sensor and electric mirror.

Dont expect that from garage though, sent recprded letter yesterday, giving them 14 days before next stage.

While the dealership are obliged to rectify any faults, they are under no obligation to pay for work at another garage without prior approval.
It will be interesting to see how this develops.

The car was taken to the garage after i spoke to the garage and the warranty company that the supplying garage gave me, the garage phoned them(warranty company).
