I stand corrected, thanks Carl for linky, good to see some close up pics of it.
Looks nice though you can still just see the red paint on the rear bumper grilles which they painted over and looks like they subsequently picked off but apart from that all good.
I'd love to know where it's been since Jay Kay parked his butt on it.

Avus press car W271EWL of which there is a pic on 2 wheels from what looks like Evo when the wheel story was hot news on that other forum was spotted at Brands Hatch a while ago in need of a bumper and then I seem to recall for sale by NJ a few months later (apologies if I am wrong Contigo).
Good link here too with pics of it

Can you scan those pics of NJ and W272 Contigo?

what tell tale signs would there be IF the clutch was starting to slip?

on ours in 2nd 3rd 4 5 6th between 2500 and 4k revs the rev needle spins up quicker than normal with no increase in speed then the revs drop again????

no smells or noises that suggest all isnt well.
All gears still easy to find and select.

could it be a thrust plate issue and how much is a clutch for this thing?!!

bracing myself ready:(:(

Talk about off topic quattrokid1

I'd say those are classic symptoms of slip.
Cost wise I seem to recall the RS4 kit for Audi is around £350 and 8-10 hrs labour so I'd envisage not much change from £1k at a specialist.
Contigo has had one so maybe he knows>??

Are you defecting?

Been doing that instead of getting those scans? :)

Just ordered mine from the eBay link someone posted, came very quickly. I don't usually buy the Audi driver mag, but the B5 RS 4 intrested me.
