just put new tyres on the front and was wondering whether I should swap them over with the rears as they have only 4mm left ??
do you guys find that the fronts wear quicker or the rears ??

I have Vredestein 275's on mine with no issues thus far and 10k into them with plenty of tread left (will take measurements at some point). My only reservations with the secret Santa's are they were a bitch to get balanced properly, road noise is more than on the Goodyear F1's I had previously and personally I do not believe they have the outright grip wet or dry the F1's had. Having a look at Camskills site yes the Vredestein 255's are cheaper, however I do believe that turn in and grip is better in the 275's having run both sizes and for £25 per corner more; £460 (special offer) vs. £567 for 4 I'll stick with the 275's for the added rim protection element as well which has saved my wheels on a couple of occassions where refurb would have otherwise been necessary.

When I bought my RS it had half worn p zeros on the rear and new on the front so when the rears wore out I replaced just them and having the 'bigger' tyre on the rear upset the handling slightly , nothing you could put your finger on really , just a bit edgy or nervous I guess - new fronts felt fine again.
With regard tyres I have been using the vredesteins this time and cant fault them , they 'feel' like the PS2 though dont have the outright grip in the dry perhaps though more in the wet and not too shocking in the snow.Best dry grip has to be p zero though , but this part of the country is so wet dont get to exploit them properly and the pirellis dont like standing water.Never tried the F1 on this car,never forgiven the old versions sloppy sidewalls admittedly in 45 section on previous car though they do grip well enough once you got used to how they feel
