Broadband Recommendations

Post by no_RS » Sun Feb 07, 2010 3:28 pm

Can anyone recommend a decent broadband provider, currently with Pipex/Tiscali/Talk Talk and their service is <beep>

Any suggestions of where I can get a decent service from would be appreciated.

Thanks

Pete

If your looking for the best then I'd suggest you get Zen http://www.zen.co.uk/

Not the cheapest, but faultless for 5 years now, and fantastic tech\support

If you can get cable that is by far the best.

I previously used plus.net and could not fault them. Was a business connection. Many are now doing ADSL2+

Hi Guys,

Price is not the main issue as you get what you pay for, I want a reliable service, accurate billing and reasonable customer service, The pipex service has been reliable but billing and customer service, it's like dealing with Audi UK, complete waste of time..

I think its swings and roundabouts, i find whatever broadband provider someones with there is always someone else that has had a bad experience with the same provider and vice vesa.

try www.thinkbroadband.com

Lets you see who's the best on customer ratings and compare products etc. Generally the non-mainstream ones work better because there is less sharing with your contention ratio. So that generally rules out BT/Sky/Virgin etc.
I used to have Freedom2Surf which were good but I think were bought out by Pipex.
A friend always had Eclipse - again, a good lesser-known ISP.
Written-off: Night Blue Metallic S6 5.2 V10 - Private plate, LED interior kit.
Sold:
Hibiscus Red Metallic S4 (B5 99.5) w/AmD Stage 1 Remap, RS4 Exhaust w/ Gutted Precats & R32 Tailpipes, Afterun Sensor, H&R Coilovers
