also, doesn't the RS6 use the same engine as the S4 except it has a twinturbo?

you're in the wrong S4 forum mate. try the 2.7 biturbo forum, oh and that also answers your other question - the 2.7 S4 is a biturbo not single turbo.

Right forum, I think, just ahead of his time. Yes, the RS6 has a twin turbo 4.2 V8 but it also has a lot more space under the bonnet. As far as I'm aware, no-one has yet tried to put a turbo into the B6 S4 but there has been mention of a supercharger that is anticipated to add 100-120 bhp.
I think MTM in Germany was the company mentioned but my memory's not what it used to be.

Yes it is MTM, but there are scant details - nothing on their website. They have only ever mentioned a supercharger, so that suggests that a turbo mod would be a lot of effort.

Personally I'd recommend waiting a bit longer to find out Audi's plans for the RS4 before committing to a serious mod on an S4.

And if the rumours on the RS4 forum prove to be true, maybe it won't be such a long wait.
Must admit I'd be tempted by a twin turbo 4.2 V8. Might have a genuine rival for performance for the M3 then. Chuck in all the advantages of the S4 and you'll be laughing.

I wonder where they'd price a new RS4????

Ok off S4 V8 topic but I'd expect the next RS4 to be the right side of £50k to be competative really. Any other views?

Agreed. The happy side of £50k and well specced as standard e.g. I don't think you should have to pay extra to have leather.

Look at what they did with the B6 S4: Roughly the same price as the B5 S4, but a much higher spec. The RS4 was already a high spec car, so in theory the B6 price should be lower.

Realistically I would expect the B6 RS4 to be the same price as the B5 RS4 with the same high spec.
