RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Exporting RS6 to NZ question
No problem. Just remember, if I come to NZ I want you to take me possum dodging in your RS6
Done it in a Holdon Commodore. Quite good fun.

Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)

Hey Grizz,
Clients in NZ?
Do you post parts or maybe once in a while pop out here for a holiday and service cars ......
That Singapore car was what set me off
great condition and lowish mileage, but here's the rub .....
Because it was originally registered in Singapore it is considered by NZ authorities to be the Singapore emmissions std which unfortunately at the time (2004) was only Euro2 compliant.
Any car being imported to NZ by an NZ citizen must be Euro3 or higher!!
Even though these all came from the same factory and built to the same spec unless they have this EU Code Of Compliance plate with the relevant std on it (as I was originally asking about) then the car is NOT eligable
The UK, in 2003 or 2004 had its own stds requiring Euro3 hence why UK originating vehicles (still need this god damn compliance plate) are likely to be OK.
I had Audi NZ involved looking at the Singapore car - they wouldn't issue a letter stating compliance, howevr initial talks over info given to be by a couple of the forum members here (
) have Audi NZ saying they would look at helping me with a UK car ..... hmmmmmmm
There's currently 2 Daytona Avants for sale here for around 24k pounds, both cars have original DRC and have done approx 60k miles.
My plan is for 6k -7k less I could get a better example with less mileage- maybe ....
Cheers
