Dont worry tho- if they try to supply them, just say "err no, I want proper tyres, they aint going on my car" feck all they can do except change em or lose your business.

Cheers for the heads up guy's I've bought boots from Mytyres before and they've been good as gold in the past but will have a proper look at them before they get fitted.

Just so you know what yuou are looking for. This is obviously on the vreds (notice that they still have the little rubber hairs on em!)

The dot code shows the week/year of manuacture (week 39/ year 09) and is shown as 3909.

then there is the E4 number, that shows it is a european spec tyre.

yup, I have leanrt a huge amount from this (thanks Paz), in any normal car rubber is secondary, but in these things, it is probably the most important.

Sad I know but I'm all excited now about getting decent tyres on my car (only drove it with bald ones, and my traction light flickers a lot) pity roads are covered in snow here hopefully it will peeess off next week.

Slightly off topic and I know my rears are really bald but I've noticed the rear wheels spin up when booting it from a standstill or round a bend, whats the bias front to back?

Mooch, we all know you wont be selling the beast - you just need to sort out where the problem lies with this one and you'll soon be back to your daft old self... :D
