Absolutely Dave, so disappointing when you come home to this rabbledavidkoulakis wrote:got to love the Autobahns

Furry muff, retract my comments then. Either hadn't spotted or didn't realise you were in Germany.Nudenut wrote:If I were in the UK then I would have to agree !W8PMC wrote:I'm probably not top of the list for entry into Heaven, but isn't it a better idea to keep that kind of driving for the track?? Had some serious fun with my mates Gen two 997T tonight....
To 100 he could pull 1/2 car on me, max... 150 kleptons onwards edged him every time and I mean EVERY time like I'm scared of shunting him I'm pulling on him so hard... 180 on, he just wanted to drive my car after that, I was gone!!
At those speeds i doubt very much you have either the skill or experience to be even close to in control. If you were lucky enough to be pulled over before killing a few people, you'd likely not see the outside of a prison cell for well over 5 years.
I don't judge people so each to their own, but a bragging story of 2 cars travelling/racing on a UK public highway at speeds in excess of 180MPH does not give rise to positive thoughts.
No problem Paul, as you say, different mentality in Germany, etiquette is not a dirty word over thereW8PMC wrote:Furry muff, retract my comments then. Having Ringed many times, progress on German Autobahns & the general acceptance of speed & other driver awareness make rapid progress a different prospect over there.
