raced with subaru 23:30 18-12-2003

just raced with a subaru.old type
2 red lights + some traffic
results
-i win the first one

-traffic same ,was too crowded and he quit.

this was the good part but rs2 is 315 subaru is 200hp?!?! how come i cant make huge difference?

my friend has an impreza tuned to about sti spec 280ish bhp, and we are a very close race i always seem to beat him, but theres not much in it. [img]images/graemlins/nodder.gif[/img]
they are very light cars for the bhp, and the old heavyweight rs2 can have trouble getting off the line, the rs2 is a better midrange up to top range car i think, even though there are claims of 1.5 sec 0-30. [img]images/graemlins/thumbs.gif[/img]

The only way to get the rs2 to to 0-30 in 1.5 sec is to, throttle to rev limit and side step the clutch, [img]images/graemlins/033102scull_1_prv.gif[/img]

not on the first start but when i pull it from first to second TAAAK! was a pure metal voice. i sometimes expect a broken differential but i cant stop myself doing the same thing [img]images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

yep but i am afraid to break the drivetrain..

If you try to pull from 1st to 2nd gear too fast, you'll break the gearbox syncros. This results noisy changes. 1st-2nd is slow in the box, other changes are better.

not like syncro,i ve changed some in my previous cars.
the sound coming from the rear end when i pull very fast from 1 to 2 is more metallic sound like your are hittting a steel with hammer.
hapeened twice,i took the car to lift to check if everything is ok,looks ok np until now
more sounds like shaft joints or internal rear end ?!?! will se when when it breaks but i will try not to do that again

Sounds strange, are you sure it is not the new exhaust touching the body when load suddenly is disengaged?
