When to replace MAFs?
Thats what happened to mine. The plug that connects the N75 had perished so no matter how many new N75's i fitted, it never worked. Then i had a new plug fitted........and hey presto.
Now Sold!

I might change my MAFs, just to see. They're a bit pricey though.

Why would lambda correction not compensate for a bad MAF? This is what it's for after all?

Also, is there anywhere you can get MAFs at a reasonable price? Just had a silly quote from Audi.

How long do they take to replace?
One thing I would dearly love to do would be at the MRC RR day in April, do a run with current components and then do another run with 2 new MAFs and a new N75 just out of morbid curiosity to see if there would be a difference. Would be quite cool no?
They take out your old MAF and replace it with a new one, and the old one goes back to Audi. Takes about half an hour.

Re: changing the MAFs and N75, can't think of a better time and place to do it, can you?!

As to your suggestion, yes probably a bit cheeky but you can ask for nothing
Maybe a better route to go would be a health check first, which will determine whether your MAFs and N75 are in good order or not?
