M3 with DCT and DCT (paddle-shift). Wanted to stay with Audi, but my local stealer offered me 5k less on a trade in than BMW and nothing off a new RS6! So went for the M3, which is comparable in most ways but with the upgrade of adjustable suspension and acclaimed 7 speed DCT. And not to mention 38k less miles than my old car.
Will let you know if its any good - pick it up on wednesday!

you know the saying..
'you don't know what you've got til it's gone'....
I think Joni Mitchell said it in 'Big Yellow Taxi', lol

And I know I'll miss the RS4 the first time I find myself on an empty country road (with an empty passenger seat and empty baby seat).
Hope you enjoy your new car but the fuel consumption is
frightening

Definately a tough act to follow, I usually keep my car for no more than 2 years but I've passed that point with my RS4 because I simply don't know what to get. I will sell it before the warranty expires (currently 9 months), but I've agonised over a C63 (heard the range is hopeless), M3 (bad memories of owning one years ago), new S4 (down on power), S5 (see S4) or drop out altogether and get something sensible until either the RS5 comes out or I can make up my mind. I usually enjoy chewing over car choices, but not this time.
2015 RS4 on the way

my RS 4 is averaging 22.5mpg over 2k since I bought itblue62 wrote:It's just cost me £65 to fill up! Maybe it's time to consider something more sensible and look elsewhere for thrills, what do others think?
on my commute to work I regularly get 25+ mpg due to the nature of it (traffic, specs, etc)
As said, unless you go for
a. a diesel
b. no bigger than 2.0T territory
you will not notice any material difference
i average 15-18 mpg,i have the 55 supercharged cls(kompressor)amg not the 6.3 na engine it has a bit more punch 700nm torque
as opposed to 630nm,and 507 bhp as opposed to 525 for the 6.3,after the rs4 i find it has to much power in the damp as its rwd,but in the dry brilliant,in the damp with any twisties the rs4 will have its pants down and smack its arse,LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
