Gearbox Gone

Post by WARPATH » Thu Jan 14, 2010 6:40 pm

Well, where do I start....

After my performance issues I had allot of work done to the car in excess of $13500 yes that's USD.

Cambelt, Timing chain, adjusters, MAF's, Tensioners etc. etc. etc. spent 3 months at Audi in the last 6 months but luckily I got it back on the 23rd of December in time for xmas.

on the 7th of Jan the gearbox decided to pack in. Tranny was slipping 1st second, third jumping from like 2500RPM to 5000RPM back off on accelerator would give you a kick in the back as it engaged again.

Took it into Audi and was quoted $3375 just for labour over $6100 for the job and that's just to repair the tranny.

Bloody sharks if you ask me does the labor part make sense?

Well all I can say is that once the tranny is done I should have the most sorted RS6, tranny, cambelt, timing chain, front rotors etc. etc. bla bla bla at least
