Anyone find the enhanced skills required for motorcycles makes them a better car driver? My first funeral was my best pal it was a big shock,i took a couple of seasons off after that and just did offroad riding but realised its all dangerous even sports cars,age/experience now leave me saving "sessions" for the correct occassion.Ive got to say though my car is a substitute for my bike, you just cant beat the feeling/thrill of a bike?

Ducati 916SPS Fogarty rep(well modified,Ohlins forks, AP brakes & carbon EVERYWHERE!) & 1098R Bayliss rep(some tasteful mods, although the bike does come specced up as standard!), they're both awesome!!

Don't own an Audi(sorry), but I work with them all day, I'm an Audi Mastertech.

I'm well envious - what a cracking couple of machines they are!

I use to compete at British championship level road racing but got too old and didn't bounce as well as I use too. Swapped it all in for the RS4 and skiing on black runs, its a good substitute and slightly less risky.

Used to have a Harribox framed FZR1000 with tuned up motor & 6 speed gearbox weighling less than a 600cc sportsbike. This was before fireblades etc. even existed so was like something landing from the future. Got into far too much trouble so sold it & had a few years off bikes. Then bought a Pegaso to get around on (surprisingly good bike) which sold last year & now have a Hypermotard 1100S which is the most fun bike I have ridden for a longtime.

Best I had out of it was 197mph through the lights at RAF Woodbridge.

I tried for 2 years to get the bloody thing to do 200 without going into the motor. Best 1/4 was 10.0 @ 145.

I was looking at getting a K5 this year.....or alternatively going for something totally different like a Nightrod.
Snap, mine was Red & loved it until one year i lost 4 friends through accidents none of them caused & that woke me up with the pending arrival of 3rd child so i canned biking in about 2003. Defo still miss it & i do still looks at the new Kwaks & wonder, but no idea if/when i will.

Broke the magical 200mph after fitting a race can & other minor fettling, but only just hitting 201MPH on the Datalog on (best not say) Only ever did that once though

Hi I have an 06 R6 road bike and a slightly destroyed track R6 which I must fix up. I love bikes and got really into track stuff but after tasting a little too much of tarmac have bought the RS4. Still ride the bikes but you cant always exploit the power. Think a supermoto might be the answer......I do absolutely love bikes and feel a connection the car cant quite match. I did however spen quite a lot of time on track with my Mrs mini cooper S works - 210bhp and I had as much fun on the track with this as the bikes and did manage to keep it in one piece.
