Downpipes

Post by bops4 » Sat Jan 09, 2010 12:37 pm

I have a KO4`d S4 B5 with rs4 downpipes and gutted pre cats and also dual milltek system. Would these fit if i have the flanges swapped off my old downopipes, if so would they be of much benefit? I will be getting the car re-mapped in the next few months anyway.

No reason why not...did you win them? Cheap price.

These were discussed over on AudiSRS.

Basically there is little benefit of fitting these over RS4 pipes with the pre-cats gutted. Certainly not worth swapping the flanges over.

Speak to your tuner if you are unsure, but I would guess you'd be lucky to see a noticeable performance increase. Guess they might sound nicer because there would be less resonance.

you can buy the flanges from milltek prob through someone like mrc but as scott said you will probably see no power increase maybe 5-10 hp at the very most. and certainly not worth the hassle of swapping them on the car but if you supply and or fit rs4 flanges they will be a lot more saleable and you will get your money back plus a bit more if you sell them on.
