non-can-bus > can bus

Post by fade2grey » Mon Dec 15, 2003 3:25 pm

Just a quick one, is it possible to convert a non-can bus (ie analogue clock car) to one with can-bus (ie digital clock) - it can't be just the instrument cluster & a few controllers can it?

I believe that the analogue cars are also CAN-BUS. Are you taliking about the instruments only?

it all stems from a desire for std fit satnav to be retro fitted, I would like a decent (recent) version with TV & would also like a digital clock (so I can get my boost guage). It's a long shot but worth asking. My car is a 1998 S4 avant, is there anything I can check to confirm?
