RS6 replicas

Post by Gareth » Fri Dec 12, 2003 5:35 pm

Just spoke to AMD about these wheels and got the prices.

18'' inc tyres and VAT = £1,233.75

19'' inc tyres and VAT = £1,615.63

Seem pretty good value to me as a package. Anyone here gone for them yet?

Also any idea what a set of brand new, immaculate RS4 9 spokes or 18''Avus III's would be worth as an part ex?

Cheers.

Tim has some RS6 alloys with Yoko's on his RS4 and they look the bollox

RS4 alloys (hard or soft) I would reckon 4 quid for the set if you were a good salesman

Nobody apart from RS4 owners use them, and we seem to have a never ending supply from our dealers. Could come in handy for trackdays I suppose, but there again most of us have numerous spare sets

Cheers Andy

RS6 19's are a good choice. Not bent one yet. Had them 13 months. Absolute piece of for the local valeter to keep clean, paid around £1600 for five... actually my local dealer chucked in the fifth for free, 'cos they marked one while fitting one of the Mrs Lennons.

Tim those wheels are

Did you get them from your Audi dealer? If so does anyone know what Audi charge for a set of 4/5?

Thankyou Gareth. A big to you too

Yes my local dealer supplied them. Actually he had them in stock so perhaps an RS6 owner had cancelled his upgrade at the last minute?

No rubbing on the wheelarches either. Fitted with Yokohama AVS AML 255/30/R19, which have (7 tyres later) been costing me around £200 per corner fitted and balanced.

Does Yokohama really have AVS in 255/30/R19?? All I could find is 265/30/R19!!!

Sorry. I have got this wrong before with Andiroo... yes they are 265's. 93Y. That tyre gives good rim protection for the RS6 19's as well.

I have RS6 reps on mine and think they look great.

Be aware that Audi are about to annouce RS6 wheels on the A3. This may or may not affect your decision to go down this path.

(p.s. there will be more news about the A3 wheels etc early next week)
B8 A4 Avant quattro
Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird
Suzuki GSXR1000 (Track bike)
B6 S4 (AMD Stage 3) - GONE
8N TT (APR/AMD/MTM) - GONE

Are Audi determined to ruin my life Instead of stealing my ideas they could at least have the decency to employ me on a consultancy basis at minimal cost (say 200K PA) If I go Sportec 19's (the next best IMO) they will prob release these for the A4!

I guess the message here is plain people. Dont buy an exclusive Audi in future, because after a year or two it will look like the rest of the bolox in their range.

personally I think the RS6 wheels will be wasted on the A3.

Look awesome on the Rs4/S4 and RS6 of course..but again Audi are taking an exclusive design and slapping it on everything

A2 next?
