What's Happened
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: What
I do too, like dvdf, mse, hukd and umpteen others but I still find it annoying that there are two forums for something like RS motors and that one was setup as an "Up yours" as it were.

You find choice annoying? That's a little strange ....Contigo wrote:I do too, like dvdf, mse, hukd and umpteen others but I still find it annoying that there are two forums for something like RS motors and that one was setup as an "Up yours" as it were.

SRS wasn't set up as an "up yours" - it was set up as an alternative site run on somewhat more liberal principles than were present on 246 at the time ...

Nice 'liberal' viewpoint as everYou find choice annoying? That's a little strange .... Does moving your mouse a few centimetres and clicking a button really annoy you that much ..?!! Not really worth getting annoyed about is it?

Oh do lighten up Necky old boy, you're coming across as a tad pompous you know!
I still browse 246 frequently, and occasionally AZ, ASN etc ... the more choice the better I say.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: What
I personally prefer the community feel to AudiSRS, although the additional banter does make it less of a useful site when trying to get advice. As a result, SRS and 246 are both very different sites which both bring something to the party.
I find myself referring to RS246 for most of the technical advice because there's less chuff to read through to get to the useful posts. Although a forum with so little activity does lose a lot of the appeal for me.
And as for a combined B5 forum, I find that far more useful than seperate S/RS forums. I often found myself having to post questions on both B5 forums here. The S4 and RS4 are after all very similar cars and share many of the same foiables - as much as it pains some RS4 owners to admit.
I'm happy that there is a site to cater for each of my needs.

Both sites are good.
There's more banter on SRS. Not a problem with that is there?
Technically - guys from both sites offer excellent advice and knowledge when asked. It's unfortunately us mere mortals who are learning, that ask the stupid questions and then clog up the threads...
So for novices everywhere, I apologise !!
People do have different views and opinions, and air their views. All good.
