cruise still works...
audi came out, excellent chap called stuart who came out to me in the summer when my S4 cab had coil problems - he was the 3rd partol to come out to me back then and managed to solve the problems
he was very thorough on the RS 4 and below is his findings
" fault code re secondary air throughput - both banks too low, checked operation of motor + valve - ok, checked piping visually as best as poss - ok, carried out basic setting of system - ok, system working correctly. Possible fault caused by partial freezing of system in adverse weather. monitor and seek dealer rectification if further faults occur"
He was here for best part of an hour. So thats basically over £100 worth of labour for free
Audi roadside is definately worth it !!
Even if you dont have an Audi warranty, you need to get audi roadside

Mine was booked in the monday just gone. Of course, as i was expecting, they need parts and to keep it for two days. next available time is 11th jan. i knew it was coming.
davidkoulakis sounds like you have the same issue as me - additional faults were found when i took it into the dealer (something about an air box flap) in addition to the secondary air flow sensor faut. I wasnt given the the full run down as the service bloke took a call mid way through our conversation, chatted for a minute then looked at me and said "ok you can go it is booked in" and carried on talking on the phone.... it was almost rush hour so i wasnt going to hang around.
Also ..... they tried to charge me an diagnosis fee even with the extended warranty. I promptly told them that i already had a diagnosis and handed them the roadside assist form. But oh no we have to plug our wee computer in again to check sir .... he then went on to "you didnt buy the car from us" i then replied that i had bought the warranty from them which seemed to shut him up.
Rant over.
Let me know what was up with yours and what work was carried out. Wonder how much it is all going to cost? will make me feel some way better about spending £1.2k!

scottie, luckily I had my old RS 6 booked in for next week in advance and have a courtesy car lined up, so they can keep the RS 4 til they fix it as I'll have their wheels. Plus my car is still under the 30day rule, so im not taking it back til its all fixed else they can give me a refund!
Some dealers are w*ankers (well, all are!) where they try to charge you the diagnostic as a default until they 100% know its under warranty
Done a search on here and common treatment seems to be a new intake manifold under warranty
Is this the thing that gets clogged up per FSI? So if they replace this will I have a nice new clean one?
