I've just moved from a Focus ST to a RS4, and so far loving every minute. Only had the focus 11 months but fancied a change and wanted to be back in an Audi.

Hi Kris, can't complain one bit about the ST, a nice piece of kit for what you pay and never let me down, just fancied something a bit more 'grown up', know what I mean?

Baggins.

Are they really that good?

No...they're better than that, much better.

Do it, you wont look back in anger

Also the RS4 market has seemed to stabilise, and prices are holding out, better for us owners, and I don't think they will drop that much in price either.

Had mine for over 2 years, and I am planning to keep if for another 2, best car I have owned..........even though I have added all the mods listed below.

Hey Baggins
If you are here looking for people to reassure you then consider this. After a string of quick cars including Evos and Subarus I finally bit the bullit and got an RS4 three weeks ago. Sure the running costs are high, but no worse than any other car with similar performance, but you are getting a 'grown up' car which when new would have been nearly twice the price of the cars mentioned before. We all love the performance and the sound, but the best thing for me about the RS4 is that to those who don't know (or you want to play things down to) it's just an A4!
It is the ultimate Q car, that goes like the clappers
Most people here will advise you to get one, you can always flog it again after 6 months if you don't like it!
Oh and also.....you can say 'fire up the Quattro' as many times as you like!
Phantom Black 06 (current), Evo 8 sold, Evo 6 sold, Escort Cosworth sold, Sierra Cosworth (nearly killed me several times) sold, RS Turbo sold
NO I'M NOT FROM ESSEX

Where about are you based?
I am sure one of us enthusiasts will be able to give you a first hand acquaintance away from the sales patter of a dealership.

been hovering around here a while now, been dreaming of an RS for longer!

I'm a long time VW/Audi fan even owning a couple of 70's aircooled VW's, know my way around these cars. Forums are great but you only every hear of the bad stuff on them, but RS246.com is different, you DO hear lots of good of these cars and probably the reason I will be getting one!
Totally agree Angelo.
I'm in a B7 A4 2.0T S-Line at the moment and my next motor, fingers crossed, will be an RS4.
This forum, by the way, is the best I'm registered with.
The guys on here just tell you how it is.

Morning. I'm Bristol based.

If anyone knows of an equivelant Camberley Audi (as these Guys really seem to know their stuff) over here, then let me know?

Thanks, Simon.

PS, I've got that excitement back with the prospect of getting one. About time.

bye bye

Three months into ownership and only a few very minor non-mechanical niggles sorted under warranty...........still in love!

The standard warranty ran out yesterday............

Do it and enjoy.....

Don't go near Swindon Audi, several owners I've done VAG-COM tweaks for have been told they are "impossible" by Swindon Audi.

That's one off the list, thanks.
