The Recaros don't have adjustable side bolsters, and with the memory seat option you save the seat (and mirror) positions using the memory switches in the door pocket.
OK shame really the sports seats don't have this option considering how much they are.

With the box ticked and not in sport mode, move the bolster to where you want it. Then hold in the sport button for around 5 secs and that should be the sport setting for seat set.

I've unticked the box with regards the seat as I'm a fat bas**rd.

??? The Recaros were a no-cost option.

And you do get side airbags with the Recaros that you don't get with the buckets - that's one of the main reasons why the buckets were not sold in the US.

I stick by what I said - buckets or Recaros made no difference to the price.

The Recaro's were an option in SA, and cost more to replace the sports seats with them, then again, if you bought the recaro's you also got folding mirrors and they were coloured coded, who would want that? and still have to pay to have it done

So the extra cost wasn't for the Recaros - it was for a package of Recaros PLUS folding mirrors...

has anyone found that the drivers seat loses the inflation a few seconds after pressing S - i.e. press S and the seat tightens up, but then after a few secs disappointingly relaxes back :(

Yep, common fault, and a tad expensive to fix. There was a thread a while back on just this problem. Try the search facility.

It does marginally but only by 1-2 mpg, not only does it change throttle agression which will psychologically make you put your foot down anyway but there is a slight timing change also.

I also found out in the last few days there is supposedly a way of switching FSI off and taking the engine back to n/a, maybe a cure for carbonising?
