Matty, YOU DA MAN!
I'm in the process of getting my car detailed. Not got to the stage of paint correction yet, but the car has been treated to some propper washing with some special products, has been clayed and then a quick polish (well kinda seemed quick to me as I wasn't doing it).
Mine is a Missano red and even after that it came out just stunning, that was nearly a full days cleaning etc, (a third was spent on the wheels though
poor wheels).
When it was done, I just stood looking at it with a warm glow inside. I'm biased cos I own a red, but when it is at its best it is such a stunning colour.
Soon it will have had the full treatment, clean, paint correction, polish, wax and seal. I WILL get some most excellent photos of it at that point and post here for all to see
And back to the main point, Mat, you're a top dude for offering to do all that
and these are big cars too

a rotary in the hands of a inexperienced operator could easily cause damage so as a beginner I would start by learning/using a DA such as http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing ... d_525.htmlwoodlum wrote:I fancy buying my own polisher and having a go myself, can you give me any advise as to what to buy and the products you use?
(I see you work offshore, do you travel out of Aberdeen)?

Rotary polishers are almost a trade on their own, I have used them before but DA polishers are so much safer! The might take a lot longer and require a lot more passes but its worth it knowing that you cant ruin you paint. You would have to be extremely stupid to do damage with a DA polisher but I have seen someone do it before!!
