Pikes Peak, Nuvolari, Le Mans quattro...

Post by Conti » Sun Dec 07, 2003 11:42 am

all these three will be build!
I read it today in a German newspaper:
Pikes Peak (2005)
Nuvolari (2006)
Le Mans quattro (2007)

It seems Audi builds these cars too late, Porsche and Mercedes have already built theirs! Even if you order a SLR now you have to wait until 2006!

I think the Nuvolari will be one hell of a car, as long as they do not tamper with it too much before production.
IMHO the looks are THE best that Audi has ever produced.

Pikes Peak is aimed at a really small market. Not sure how well that will go.

Le Mans Quattro will fit the supercar gap nicely. Just a shame it doesn't look like the RSR concept

Is the Pikes Peak another descendant of the VW ToeRag ?

From the name I was hoping for something a little more 'mental', but it just appears to be another incarnation of the VW/Porsche affair

Pikes Peak? Here are a couple mean videos of the Saab Pikes Peak car. Give the Audi guys some idea of exactly what they have to beat.

Best Video (11 MB)

Good Closeup of the Car (31 MB)

Both very cool videos, and a sneak peak at the kind of performance the new Audi will hopefully be attaining.

The twin-turbo FSI engine with petrol direct injection draws 368 kW (500 bhp) from eight cylinders with a peak torque of 630 Nm.

Hi!!! I also read it. It is very stupid to build so great cars so late. but when you look at BMW or Mercedes, their cars were built not much earlier. Why do need so much time to buy these cars???

Hi!!! I think, the Gallardo or the Murcielago is much better than a usual RS4. What do you think???

Well the RS4 is the world's best "every day car"!
Or do you want to drive a Gallardo or Murcielago in snow?

The Gallardo has 500 bhp but why is her accelaretion that "slow "?
4.2 sec!

Check out this "racing couch". Runs 140km/h, some 85 mph.
Now that'is power and comfort! Just looks like .... (fill in whatever words you want)
