Hey Mihnea how many tables do you change on your mapping for an RS4, what sort of Injector Duty Cycle figures (%)/ timing advance/boost levels have you achieved?

Hi Andiroo,

There's between 10 and 14 maps in an RS4 chip that can be changed in order to increase performance on an otherwise stock motor, maximum boost is about 1.5 Bar (relative) but it also depends on ambient pressure and temperatures, plus boost isn't programmed as such in a Motronc ME7 system.

Sorry but I'm not giving more programming details, what I know cost me $hitloads of money and time, so I can't just state on a public forum "I'm using x degrees of advance, y% injector duty cycle and 1.3 bar boost"... plus, if I told you I'm using say, 10 degree advance, would it help if I don't tell at what load? Cheers,

Mihnea

Mihnea having only just bought my RS4. I'm holding off for finacial reasons for probably a good 6-10 months. Well in theory we shall see.

But I'm going to research my options.

You'll appreciate that anyone can come on a forum such as this proporting to be anything. So I have understandable concerns to satisfy when it comes to

a. Giving money for a service to a complete stranger and
b. The potential work could have serious consequences to my seriously expensive car.

Basically what sort of guarantee would you / could you offer on your work. i.e. should your remap melt a piston etc.

It's exactly this piece of mind you get by going down the MTM/AMD route. But as they say you pays you money...

Still nice to see another player.

Keep us up to date with what your up to. It's the best way to establish yourself and I wish you the best of luck

Well, apart from any financial interest, have fun with it, get used to the chassis and the power and only then start thinking about HP upgrades!

As far as tuning goes, I've already remapped more than 50 cars in less than 2 years (and more than 30 in the last 6 months) and I haven't had a single engine damage so far. In all these cars, there's 15 RS2s (not an RS4 but about as rare if not even more and a lot more tricky to tune than an RS4).

The only guarantee that I'm giving everyone whose cars I've remapped is that I think I know what I'm doing fairly well and I also think I know the limits for a given engine/turbo combination so as far as I'm concerned, you won't have to be worried because I might have gone a bit too far. I know maybe it's not what you'd have liked to read but for the record, just check on www.s2forum.com the number of happy people in the UK running big turbos/injectors and custom remaps done by me, I don't think you'd find someone who's unhappy with the setup or who's had any problems with my remap...

Thanks a lot for that!

Hello S2Tuner

software MOTRONIC RS2 engine is completely simple to change, there can even already my son! The RS4 software ME7 is not comparable by the function with the Motronic! Do you have a Damo, s file for RS4?

hallo tom,

in english: I know that Motronic ME7 as in the RS4 has nothing to do with the old M2.3.2 out of an S2 or RS2 and how easy an M2.3.2 is to tune in comparison with ME7 in an RS4.
I won't say anything about Damos here, except that I know where are the maps, what they do and how to modify them, otherwise I won't say here that I can tune them.

gruesse nach lehre,
