Need recommendation for new wheels for my RS6 C5

Post by buzzard666uk » Wed Nov 04, 2009 9:20 pm

just found out that I have three "distorted" wheels, which is probably why my car vibrates thru the floor under load.. and been told they are pone to it, and the C5 had softer alloy ?

I want to purchase 4 brand news wheels, and plan to put Goodyear F1 275/30 19 tyres on..

Can anyone recommend a make etc... or if you know where I can get 4 genuine audi RS6 wheels cheep !!

thanks..

What about the C6 rims? I have seen them on the Avant Plus and this looks awesome! Maybe soemone with photo shop cna pop them on your car for a look see.

Also the 19inch multi spoke look very cool, like the B5 RS4 rim, but the 19's

C6 wheels: http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... torder=asc

These ones are in-fact genuine Audi items and aren't cheap! But there are replicas to be had for less.

Other than the OEM wheels, personally I think the MTM bimotos are some of the best looking wheels for the RS6.

THe B7 RS4 rims, look good too.

Are OEM and MTM wheels any stronger than original AUDI ? just heard from a supplier that MTM have also been known to buckle on the RS6.... what about BBS ? thanks for continued help...

MTMs would be cheaper than that. You could get the forged alloys if you're concerned about strength.

Check out the Sportec Mono 10's, too. My 2nd favourite RS6 wheel.

Spacecowboy's car is by far the nicest looking C5 RS6 i've seen.

Love the sprint blue combo with the gunmetal wheels.

Class!

I can't think of any wheel that's non-OEM that doesn;t look chav on the 6. Maybe I'm getting conservative in my old age...

What's all this about the C5 alloys being soft? I've never heard that before...

C6 wheel is No.1 for me followed by the original.
Not keen on anything else on the 6.
If the OEM wheel is soft my RS4 reps must be jelly ;)

As already said. It has to be C6's, Plus style C5's or Bimotos. Nothing else quite cuts it.

Cheers guys,

I've looked and looked at endless styles..... and in the end, have purchased a set of prestine original C5 wheels.... I prefer the 5 spoke chunky look originals.. come with a warranty as well..... thanks to all for their input, recommendations and help... Conrad....
