RE: warranty

Post by ecain63 » Tue Nov 03, 2009 6:54 pm

Not heard good or bad mate. Nearly everyone on here goes for either Audi full component (if they have full Audi service history) or Warranty Direct (some members have DRC cover, but they stopped issuing it earlier this year), and there are one or two other reliable companies. Im sure more will follow this post. Im with Warranty Direct but i have yet to use them for a claim (my last claim was against a garage) so i cant comment, but ive not heard many bad reports.

I rang Warranty direct earlier this week, I was told they would not cover the RS6 anymore as they have had too many expensive claimes....!!!!!

They guy on the phone knew what he was talking about! He spoke about the useless DRC and intercollers failing....

Just had my policy renewed with Warranty Direct Extra care £890.00 Ouch !

This seems to cover just about everything but the Audio and sat nav.

I had a claim with them last Year for the DRC and One intercooler for well over that figure which was handled with out any major hassle.

So its got to be worth it for the peace of mind.

Good to see a non audi warranty covers most of the big problems on these and half the price. Audi one would still be least hassle but nice to know there is an alternative.

My Warranty direct policy was £810 last Year.

But the last claim was for over £1500.00.

My car has no mods.
