seen a blue RS on the road and a couple of GTRs, not had a go against them, am sure the RS would get beaten in a straight line (they arent that fast on paper), am sure the GTR would show me a clean pair of heels tho.

I think the RS looks quite cool but definitely draws too much of the wrong attention and If I had one I would always be looking over my shoulder and wondering when I'm gonna get car jacked or its gonna be nicked.

wouldnt want one anyway, the RS4 is much better as we all know!

My neighbour cancelled 2 orders for the GTR. 1 for the missus back in April ( which he had then hoped to sell at a premium for his due in September). I guess he got fed up with my skyline jokes but said it wasn't special enough inside and a very harsh ride.
I think he was also worried about the Nissan badge and depreciation.
He has a Porsche Boxster RS60 spyder £55k worth new ? and you can't get him out of it.
Suits me as I thought his GTR might give my 911 Turbo a run for its money ( not beat though ) even with my DMS remap to 525 bhp

Saw six on the back of a delivery transporter in Paris today...must be a few Frenchies getting excited about a delivery this week end.
Thought for the moment...

...if some mindless ASBO keys your car as happened to my previous S4 then stay positive...they may have had a moments glory in front of their mates but they only did it because they're jealous of you being able to drive it every day! Who drives wins!

I'd say anyone who cancelled an early GTR order is about to wish they hadn't....

What with the exchange rate about to mean that new cars will be £65K+ anyone who bought for for ~£55K is about to find their first few years of motoring in the mini-Veyron were nigh on free.

FWIW, there is YouTube video out there of Stage1/2 GTR's caning 700+bhp RS6's & 997TT's....

Above 150 the GTR seems to slow down although its Cd seems uncannily low for such a big car...

Those GTBoard.com vid's are great. But it does put some cars into perspective, particularly the GT-R vs Koenigsegg CCX; the GT-R got truly spanked!

Yeah so imagine how pathetic the RS4 would look against it..........

I don't suppose anyone would have thought that a GTR would stay with a CCX in a drag race....its like trying to compete with the Veyron.

But Sept 09 EVO mag demonstrated that a £1 million Veyron cannot catch a £60K GTR on the road and thats the magic of the car...
