Not a major problem but! when ever i visit here and another Audi forum which i woun't mention I always have to refresh the pages to see the latest posts. This goes for every page i visit whether its the main page or indevidual posts. Seems its only on these two forums all others are ok.
Is it me or just the way the site works?
cheers
Jonah

Re: Refreshing to see
If you use the back or forward button on your browser this can happen as documents are retrieved from the browsers cache. You will need to press refresh to view the latest posts.
This may be just a configuration setting for the forum. I think that many places use the same forum code, they just give it a different style.
If the browser has to keep going back to the server to get the latest page then this will descrease the responsiveness of the site.

Re: Refreshing to see
Let me explain a little more! I've saved the hme page in favourites, evertime i now visit my page is shown as the last one visited and so to see new posts i have to refresh the screen to make these visable. this goes for every page and posts.

Re: Refreshing to see
Probably due to caching. In IE go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced and turn on the 'Empty temp Internet folder on exit'.

Re: Refreshing to see
You could also check your .url file, which is the actual shortcut file in your favorites folder (if you are using ie). It should be called www.rs246.com.url if you didnt enter your own name for the shortcut
make sure the BASEURL entry in this url file looks like this:
BASEURL=http://forums.rs246.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?Cat=
if it isnt change it to this and it may sort out your problem
