Bonnet Vents
Do they have any real benefit or are they more for show?!.. Was considering some quattro style vents to aid cooling and if done right think they might look good also?!..

I personally think they look pants. It's like putting a scooby spoiler on a Jaguar.

But if you are going to do it, then do it the MTM clubsport way

RE: Bonnet Vents
Sure there's a guy on here that's vented his bonnet for hillclimbs...
Re: RE: Bonnet Vents
I actually think the clubsport is a bit over the top, was thinking something more in line with the origional quattro..Shoppinit wrote:But if you are going to do it, then do it the MTM clubsport way![]()

Grizz was talking about getting some Bonnets made up a few months ago.
Would look good if they were pressed in like you used to get back in the day. Cool Louvre's was the name of the company back in my Nova days... lol http://www.coollouvres.com/

I posted quite a long while back about induction noise (or lack thereof) and was told that since there are no off-the-shelf induction kits for the RS6, the only way to release whatever induction noise already exists would be to go for some bonnet vents.
This seems like pretty extreme measures though just to get a bit more noise! I suppose a performance air-filter might give a bit more induction noise, but it's a shame there isn't anything else available that gives a good result for little effort and I don't think that changing the entire bonnet falls into that category!
Further, I'm not that keen on the look of bonnet vents and never really have been. I can just about live with the single letter-box types, but slashes here there and everywhere is a bit OTT IMHO.
