Eibach are a little softer, but dont do them for the S4 - saying that, the H&R ones are by no means hard - they firm up the ride and make it so much more responsive but still have a good ride.

I havent tested them fully, to be fair, the fastest I have done it in was 25mph on a crawl back from garage due to the hub carrier damage.
Hi MICALEE,

Car looks so much better now It's been lowered!!

You say you got the H & R Springs for £260, Is that inc VAT and where did you get them from? if you don't mind me asking, because i'm in the process of sourcing some springs for my S4.

Also have you got your spacers on yet?

You know, I have driven this sufficiently to review it now and I can honestly say I wouldnt look back! Now, I know people with coilovers which are well known to be firmer and they say they are really happy with the ride - I on the other hand couldnt drive cars that firm! So, wjat I am trying to say is, I think it is hard to take someones opinion! Just being honest.

so, my opinion is that, yes, its firmer, but in no way uncomfortable. The ride on normal A roads I think you would be hard pushed to differentiate against Stock. Round abouts etc are so vastly improved, it unreal! I used to feel the car seriously understeer due to the weight of the car - now, I can take them the way I want it and now it does actually feel like a Quattro.

Some of the back roads are firm, but again, not savagly hard on the spine! My wifes MX5 is a harder ride! All in all, the stance of the car, the look and the presence it now presents is rewarding enough for me. I am more than happy with the ride and would recommend H&R.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the indepth review. It makes it much easier when someone has actually got them and can say that its not bone shatteringly bad or wallowy soft. I have read about a few people that have simply taken them back off and gone back to stock. Cheers!
