Lovely looking motor. Nice colour....
As it's only 8 weeks old, can I be nosey and ask why he's selling it?

He's fed up of the rattles and squeeks, the endless engine problems, only does 15mpg, drives crablike due to the rear end shunt by a 40ft Tesco's lorry and his Mrs doesn't like the colour

Seriously I thinks its more down to his personal situation and his wife has a GTi 180 Anniversary, so maybe its too much like her car. His last car was a MKII Gti that he had for 7 years. I've definately lost count of how many I've had in that time.

Don't suppose he'd consider a swap for a RS Focus and a bit of cash ?

I can always ask him. How much are you looking for the RS then?

If I was trying to sell the RS I would look at getting around close to list price. They appear to be holding thier value at the moment more than the other "limited edition" cars.

When you speak to your mate next might be worth an ask. You don't know if you don't ask and all that. Not really looking at selling the RS at the moment but fancy snorting about in a "32" for a while. I might even like it

I bet my brother is kicking himself now when he sees the secondhand prices for the Focus, as he could have got one for £16k before he left the Ford Dealership that he had been with for over 20 years. He now works for an Audi dealership and has changed his mind about Fords being the best thing since sliced bread...funny that

BTW, Mat is really trying to free up some cash so unless the RS was going very cheap which I doubt it isn't then I don't think he'd be interested. Sorry Mick
