Thanks for all your support. Would love to keep with a manual but will just wait and see

will keep looking at this website as I've found it really informative.

When I do make a purchase I'll let you know if it's a decent one. Between now and then I could be tempted with a Nissan micra ..... not

<beep> sorry to be reading this, loosing a limb is one of the most horrendous things that can happen to a person. As you say at least the car did its job and saved more of you being damaged, and worst case scenario your life being taken. hope you are on the mend fast.

So what are you looking at, I take it will be automatic?

All the best Laura.

What a shocker.

Take up flying instead.

How about a Pitts Special?

Otherwise, I'd concur with the 4WD options others have suggested: another B7 RS4, C6 RS6, GTR, Gallardo...

FWIW, I believe RS6.com have compared the TTRS versus the B7 and from 50-290kph, the TTRS is faster...which means a chipped one will be even quicker...

If you like going that fast.

Hey Laura, think it was yourself that spied me leaving the Shepherds Rest this afternoon. There's only a few people i hear saying " Oh look an RS" when i try to slope out the car park. Hope you're not missing your car too much. Get well soon.

I would suggest trying a C63, CL 63 or a bentley Continental GT

I would like to say how incredible it is that you are so positive. I see this thread has been up a while now but couldnt not reply. I hope you are recovering well.

Hey sorry to hear about your accident, hope you get better soon and out of hospital.

some people on here have mentioned AMG mercs, yep they are quick & comfy, few of my friends have had the C32, C63 and E55 (all autos of course)

I've driven them all and they are quick but not anywhere near as sharp/secure in the handling department compared to the RS4 and undrivable/terrifying in bad weather (their words, not mine)

Good luck and hope you have a speedy recovery.
