RS6 (C6) Alloy Rim Cleaning
RS6 (C6) Alloy Rim Cleaning
I remember my other Audis always seemed to produce Brake dust that just does not clean .. All the Porsches I have had clear easily with Zymol Alloy Cleaner.. However the RS6 is as per the other Audi's .. Zymol Alloy Cleaner or AutoGlym Cleaner works I'd say about 90% ..however I get left with a few bits that just wont budge .. On My other Audis I used CarPlan Wonder Wheels which is pretty much pure acid.. so dont want to use that again
So what do folks use to clean the Alloys ?

Wonder Wheels is some of the strongest stuff out there - but, you're doing no favours to your wheels in using it (long term..)david7m wrote:What brand is the "lovely pink wheel wax"?

I'd certainly consider the above (bilberry)
An alternative to the PB wheel wax is Chemical Guys' Wheel Guard. But my #1 for sealing wheels at the minute, is Chemical Guys JetSEAL109 (which too can be found on the CleanYourCar website.)

I use poorboys as above and teh brake dust just flies off with the hose and wheel brush. I rarely have to use bilberrys on them.
Once you visit that clean your car site you will end up getting more and more pruducts. The advise on teh forums is very good and the results speak for themselves. I can pretty do a full wash, cleanse and wax on my RS6 in about 2 hours and the results are great

P21s wheel cleaner is excellent as an bi-yearly deep clean. It smells lke a rubbish tip and will remove any waxes etc on the wheel.
Once clean I tend to clay the wheels to get a perfect surface then I apply two coats of AG SRP and then two coats of AG EGP.
The above works a treat and is well worth the time to see those wheels shine !

Bilberry is good but Epsuma Wheel Revolution wheel cleaner is better and goes alot further
