Re: Caution: hi temp!
Timucin,
if the engine is not really getting hot try disconnecting/changing the multi function temp sensor. This is on the coolant manifold (3 pin plug, I think) under the inlet manifold, when this malfuntions it can also reduce performance, as happened to someone else recently, here:

Re: Caution: hi temp!
I had a new radiator fitted to mine earlier this year, which developed a leak a few months later due to a manufacturing fault. It was repaired under warranty and I was told the repair means it's better than it was when new.
Re: Caution: hi temp!
cobstar; we dont have good services here , they dont care about guarantee etc. this radiator was invoiced at 08-november-2003 TO ME, i have the invoice in front of me right now....

Re: Caution: hi temp!
You can replace the main radiator with type 85 Coupe quattro metal radiator - this will also mean you can get rid of the auxiliary radiator.
In our climate we can get away without changing our main radiator and get rid of the auxiliary radiator - but remember to block the two hoses to the aux radiator as this is in parallel to the main radiator - connecting them together will bypass the main radiator - not good.
